Our FIRST Event - a PHONE Drive!!
Most of us have old phones lying around in some drawer or some box somewhere - what do you do with them? If you're like me, you don't know and they just sit there for years.
Now, there is something you can do with them that can make a difference right here in Lubbock!
Business With a Cause is holding a Phone Raiser. We're asking for the general public to donate their old phones. For each phone donated, $1-$20 dollars will be donated to the Children's Advocacy Center of the South Plains (http://www.cacofsp.org/).
In case you aren't familiar, the CAC of the South Plains provides assistance & counseling to child victims of abuse. Please spend some time on their site to learn what a great service they are providing to the children of West Texas!
Please e-mail charity@businesswithacause.com if you have phones to donate!
Get rid of your old phones, & help make a difference here in Lubbock!
Thanks for all you do!

Why Business With a Cause?
For a long time, I wasn't sure what my passion was, what I really wanted to do with my life as far as a career goes. Sometime over the past year, I relized that I have a real passion to help charities by getting local businesses involved.
Here are my convictions about this:
- Local Customers are what keep businesses IN business - Businesses profit from the spending of local customers.
- So, it should be the duty of local businesses to support local charities which are helping those in the local community.
- Businesses who support local charities should be recognized publicly. This will encourage customers to continue to support these businesses.
It's a cycle - customers support businesses; businesses support charities; businesses are recognized as contributing to the community; customers continue to support businesses.
Please be aware, this is not all about "cause marketing" - it's not just the idea of trying to get customers to spend more with a particular business. This is about trying to make a difference in local communities & that means that everyone has to be involved!
I'll be blogging more about this, I think each city should have a Business With a Cause organization. In the mean time, please visit:
